Memes (’meeems’) are link things that bloggers propagate to get their links on other blogs. Some are great, with twists and fun to do, but a lot are just meaningless lists that go on and on.
Why people do memes:
1. it’s good for their blogs
2. they like the person who sent them the meme
3. they have nothing else to post about
4. they just love ‘em. period.
I think people hate memes because of the obligation that goes with it. I could link someone voluntarily or if she asked, but I guess to some of us, meme-ing is much more fun!
The memes that force a person to link to people she barely knows could leave a bitter taste, if not for the thought that his/her link will also propagate because of the same ‘forcing’ that the meme does to people.
I have rejected memes before because i didn’t want to link to people whose links are mandatory in the memes. In these cases, I message the person who sent me the meme and implored to be exempted… with the promise to put her link on my sidebar. On all my blogs, if she wished.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they could be good for you.

This post is for glitchline and Pusangkalye who tagged me with the same meme with different titles. Because I like them both and this blog can use some exposure I’m gonna do it!
Rules:
Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that alphabet and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

Some sites have started bashing PW because of one reason or another, most commonly about the revenue the main site’s design etc. I personally don’t see the point of people bashing something that earns them at least 0.01 dollars a day, which is big compared to 0 dollars a day.
I’ve been at it for 2 weeks or so and, because I cycle my funds and only advertise on those sites I like, I’ve earned quite a bit (4 dollars). Now compare that to my adsense earnings which were virtually nonexistent in days at a time.
Also, PW allows you to withdraw at least 10 dollars any time your earnings reach that much, which is great. Compare that to waiting for the 100 dollar check that you could only dream of as the chance that an intelligent blogger will click your ad is very slim.
Now, if PW only had a referral/affiliate system, it would be perfect. Perfect wonderful.

I wasn’t the only one wanting to accomodate guest posts, some bloggers are even willing to give prizes to people who will guest post on their blogs (see JoeTech’s Guest poster invitation)
Did I sign up? But of course! I believe in the power of guest posting and having a post up there at joetech’s (PR5 blog in reality, PR3 after a google slap) will do wonders for a starting blogger.
Now if only I can think of a techie topic that he will approve of. See, I feel that i am only a ‘techie by association’, having an uber geek for a boyfriend; and a son that lines up his lego blocks in a neat but complicated system. My 2-year old son has more techie sense than me. XD
Anyway, I will try my best. And, oh btw, joetech’s invitation is open to everyone, so you’d better all go there and start writing your best ones.

I’ve recently accepted guest posts on evilwoobie.
At first I was very excited, but now I feel a bit apprehensive.
Will my readers miss me? Will the subscribers unsubscribe because they wanted me on their mail and not another poster?
Up on my blog now is a quality post sent to me by my guest of the moment worththepopcorn.com
I see some big blogs doing it and I never felt the urge to unsubscribe because they let others post on their blogs.
But fact is, they’re already BIG, and I am not.
I still think it’s a good idea, though. It’s like reviewing another site, and quoting him extensively.
A little deviation from my niche and from the usual posts that my visitors expect surely won’t make them leave for good,… hopefully not.
There’s another reason behind that idea, of course. :D
